Who is responsible for gritting roads?

Who is responsible for gritting pavements?

Milton Keynes City Council states: “We do not salt the footways in residential areas ”

Whitehouse Community Council has funded the installation of 4 grit bins in Whitehouse. These are provided for residents to use to grit pavements or roads that have not been gritted. You can find these on our Community Facilities Map in the “winter maintenance” section.

What about my driveway?

Grit bins and their contents are provided through Council funds and we would respectfully ask that resident do not use the grit for personal use, such as driveways. You can purchase grit for private use from a DIY store.
