Our new community centre is under construction, and due to open in Spring 2024. Situated on Barrosa Way, in front of Watling Academy, we intend to make this a hub within Whitehouse for many different community groups. We’re really looking forward to welcoming all residents, and to providing a space which we think will benefit the whole community.
But we need your help! What should we name this place? There’s an artist’s impression below showing roughly what it will look like. The community centre will contain a hall, a meeting room, kitchen & toilets, along with an admin office for Whitehouse Community Council.
We’re looking for a unique name which will be memorable, and ideally ties in with Whitehouse itself.
Please email your suggestions to: CMP-Competition@whitehouse-cc.gov.uk before 31st July 2023. Ensure you include your name, address and a contact phone number. The person who suggests the winning name will be invited to the grand opening ceremony and will win a £25 Amazon voucher!
Competition rules:
- The competition is open to all residents of Whitehouse
- It is not open to employees or councillors of Whitehouse Community Council, or their immediate families.
- The prize is an invitation to attend the opening ceremony of the community centre and a £25 Amazon voucher. No alternatives are available.
- The competition closes at 23.59 on 31st July 2023
- The winner will be announced by 30th September 2023, and their name will be published on this web
